APS has a capacity of 40,000 kilowatts and provides 21,000-volts of electric distribution to Payson.

Water – Town of Payson Water Department (928) 474-5242

Currently, Payson obtains its water from groundwater that is pumped by 42 production wells from the Payson area’s granite aquifer. The Town has recently secured legal access to surface water supplies via C.C. Cragin Reservoir (Blue Ridge). This will provide an indefinite supply of surface water that will replace groundwater as Payson’s primary water source.

Sanitary District – Northern Gila County Sanitary District (928) 474-5257

Northern Gila County Sanitary District with its state-of-the-art, award-winning treatment facility provides wastewater treatment for Payson and much of the surrounding area. The treatment plant is designed for expansion should a third treatment module be necessary.

Gas (Propane) – Semstream (928) 474-2294

Propane is delivered throughout the Payson community through a metered underground system and surrounding areas with leased tanks and metered tank service.

Telecommunications

High-tech services of the Payson region include Internet, cable modem, fiber optics and other fixed and mobile broadband and communications services. There are six Internet Service Providers. Broadband services for data, voice and video, as well as some fiber optic telecommunication technologies, are also available.  Diverse analog and digital television services are offered via cable TV and satellite, while a variety of digital cell phone, paging and radio services are also provided.
