By whatever name you call it, towns that yearn to thrive have a department that stands hand-in-hand with the chamber of commerce and the small business administration office to assist business owners, potentially planning to move their business to a particular city or town. Here, it is called Northern Gila County Economic Development Corporation.

Rim Country Business Awards
The Rim Country Business Awards is an annual event honoring companies and persons for outstanding business practices and community involvement in Rim Country. The 2010 awards luncheon will be held Thursday, April 8th. The featured guest speaker will be Lattie Coor. Nomination applications are now available and must be submitted by February 1, 2010.

Since 1987, Northern Gila County Economic Development Corporation has been enhancing the economic well being of Northern Gila County, known locally as the "Rim Country." Among the diverse initiatives of NGCEDC are recruiting new business; retaining, expanding or relocating existing business; encouraging local tourism and recreation; fostering business and community relations; and removing barriers to business success.
